When I saw your original message I forwarded it to AB4IQ, who has had a TH11
for years and recently lost it in a storm. He just received his new one and
is assembling it at this time. Below is his reply.

Well Clint the holes in the ends of the two tubes are not drilled in the
same spot. In other words one hole is about 5/16th from the end and the
other end is around 9/16th from the end. If the gentleman will place
identical tubes side by side he will see the difference. I placed the
9/16th holes towards the sleeve to give it more support inside the coupling
sleeve that joins the two different parts of the phasing harness together.
Needless to say this puts them at the same length on both assemblies or
close enough for Government work.

Ed,
This came across on the Tower Talk forum and I thought you might have some
depth of knowledge on it.

This is driving me crazy. If I make the ends of the tubes even at the front,
one tube hangs 5/16" long at the back. From the illustration in FIG 11 it
looks like the tubes should be staggered at the front, and only the top tube
placed at 2.75" from the front 10m driven element. Doinf it this way also
keeps each feed pig tail even with its' neighbor on the other phasing tube.

All Tom at MFJ could say is that "he had not had that question before," and
he had no answer.

Help?
