Assuming that the height from real ground is coincident with the antenna
height, that the terrain is flat, that's a single choice is anyway a
compromise, that higher bands tend to have lower angles, the answer is
probably 100'.
At home, my antenna is a single yagi at 90' from over perfect flat earth
with no buildings.
Compared with my contest QTH (IR4T, 3 miles away) that has the same kind of
earth, I clearly feel I miss lower angles on 10/15. In spite of the lobe
*holes*, I never felt something important is missing (relatively to a
compromise installation) with higher angles at any time.
My situation anyway could not replicate with You or others.
When path distances to important areas, own latitude and headings were
different also the compromise height to place a single antenna could be
different.
