Looking at installations now isn't always a good indication
of how things should be.
It is permissible to use braided strap for low frequency
electrical safety grounds. They just shouldn't be used for
lightning or other high frequency high current grounds.
We regularly used braiding on equipment consoles in BC
stations, but antenna, cable entrance, and transmitter area
grounds were wide copper flashing.
