First of all, thanks to all of those that took the time to reply to my =
request for information.

The good news is that last weekend I was able to eliminate (for now) the =
irritating sounds coming from my tower when the antenna swayed in the =
wind.

I'm not sure which of the following procedures actually did the trick =
because I figured a shotgun approach was the best one for me.=20

With the tower in the vertical position and fully lowered I used a =
ladder tied vertically to the bottom section to gain access to the top =
of the tower. =20

First, using a squeeze bottle, I poured about a total of one pint of =
good old WD40 down into the tower sections, spreading it out around the =
perimeter of each section. Most of it eventually made its way out the =
bottom of the tower where I collected it with a rag.

Next, using a grease gun I sparingly applied some grease to the top of =
each section which acts as a guide for the next smaller section.

Its been windy for the past few days and there hasn't been a peep out of =
the thing.

We'll see how long this lasts.......

73=20
Rick
