I bought some Polyphaser 2KW panel-mount supressors last year that had nice
rubber caps over both SO-239s. One was black and one was red. They fit nice and
snug and seemed pretty rugged. I bought some 3KW bulkhead suppressors recently
that did not have the caps. They were in a sealed plastic bag instead. Either
Polyphaser found that cheaper or they didn't like the fact that the caps
wouldn't quite cover the extra long SO-239 used on the bulkhead suppressor.
Anyway, somebody must make these neat rubber caps...
