Nice overview. I have a Ham-II -- not much difference between models. Old
ones can be updated by replacing the ring gear with a stainless steel one,
replacing the ball bearings and race sleeves, lubricating, and if necessary
replacing the potentiometer. Did all those to mine and it's a great
performer capable of handling more than the original factory rated wind and
weight loads.
