I have always used Vegetable oil when it was something I cared about and did
not want to risk bits of concrete sticking to the form. It is cheap and
works just fine.

Howdy, TowerTalkians --

I can't ever remember seeing this topic before - which is pretty rare
after the last 15+ years of TT.

I'm pouring a large tower base. What is an easy and cheap way to keep
the wooden forms (2x12's) from sticking to the concrete? I've used motor
oil a couple of times and couldn't tell if it did any good. I've used
nothing
and the forms just peeled off so I'm not sure what to do. Any plausible
info appreciated.

Cheers,
Steve K7LXC
