NoAlox etc will do if you need to create a moisture barrier where dissimilar
metals meet. If you're trying to create a lightning ground system, the last 
thing
you need is to add a barrier between the radial and the earth.
        Exothermic welding will do the job too. But it's rather expensive for 
hams.

What about coating all galv. metal that goes into soil and concrete with a
roofing tar or some such goop prior to burial?  I did that recently with
bolt legs for HBX tower into concrete and also for legs of a HyTower.  The
stuff is very black, very thick, petro product.  What's say?  de K4VUD
