I want to replace a 50-200-ohm toroidal balun, which works fine 20M-10M
(actually, to above 2M), with a choke balun.

Wound 6T '213 on 4" PVC waterpipe. Checked balance using r-f
m-voltmeter, MFJ analyzer, and combos of resistors totalling 50 ohms -- okay
so far.

Spread turns and wound another bi-filar separate coil. Put inputs in
parallel, outputs in series, with 200-ohm load. Range of 1-4-xformation
shifts down to 1.8-5 MHz.

Repeat with RG-303. Ditto.

Is this 'expected behavior'?
