I too have had excellent dealings with Robin.

He provided a special 4130 mast, meeting me at a hamfest to make sure the mast was not damaged and to save on transportation costs. He delivered more than he promised and at the price he quoted -- a pleasant surprise in today's society. His pricing was fair and below that quoted by other suppliers. He mailed the manufacturer's documentation sourcing the material used in the mast and certifying that it was 4130. The galvanized coating was excellent and very uniform -- very important (and seldom found) in mast fabrication.

I have had other transactions with Robin and each has been excellent. I plan on doing future business with Robin.

I recommended Robin to Jay Terleski at Array Solutions who has used Robin to supply masts for his customers. The last time I talked to Jay, he was also pleased with Robin's performance.

Based upon my experiences with Robin, I can state without reservation that he has delivered more than he promised, delivered everything at the price quoted and in a timely manner. He is both pleasant to deal with and very, very professional in his attitude and execution.

If anyone should have any questions regarding my experiences with Robin, please contact me directly.

I know nothing of the KQ2M-KB4IDC controversy which has been raised here, but I have bought from Robin Midgett KB4IDC and was quite satisfied with the item (an aluminum tower which is supporting my SteppIR very nicely) and the price. The tower was exactly as Robin had described it, and he was kind enough to meet me halfway for the pickup. I found him to be a real gentleman and I would do business with him again.

Subject: [TowerTalk] KB4IDC IS A SLEAZY SELLER..not, End Of Thread

Greetings TT Readers,
I believe most of the subscribers have seen this scenario before, so I won't spend much time on it.
This case with KQ2M is one of misunderstanding and mis-use of terms. Once he made me aware of his dissatisfaction with the product he received, I tried to communicate with him verbally to resolve the situation. He flatly refused to speak with me, and insisted on having everything in writing. Additionally, he cast what amounts to venom at me via E-mail, calling me a liar and a thief. Anyone who knows me (KQ2M does not) knows better; much better.
As I explained to him at the time, had he approached me with some measure of respect, his situation would have been resolved to his satisfaction. Instead, he chose to hurl insults and angst at me. Then he chose to send a scathing message to our moderator over the situation. Steve in turn asked for my side of the story, which I provided. In the end, Steve agreed that he himself would have had no problem purchasing the items I sold KQ2M at the price he paid.
Likewise, I have all the messages concerning this archived. If anyone is really inclined to read them for themselves, I'll be happy to forward them, as well as the pictures.
Now that KQ2M has waited until I posted something for sale on the reflector to stage a public mud slinging, I think it appropriate to address it. Having now done so, I won't make anymore issue about this on the reflector. I thank you for your time.
