While they may meet the mechanical requirements, pillow blocks are designed to be used indoors. And if you use one of those that has one Allen screw to hold the mast, it'll be rusted and useless in a few years and it'll have to be cut off with a hand grinder. Other reasons not to use a thrust bearing!
