I could only get onionskin paper on a pad rather than for a printer but I tried
it anyway. It printed OK, and is significantly better than normal printer
paper, but is still quite grainy/papery with the back lighting.
So I'm still looking.

I would try 'onion skin' paper, or very translucent paper which could be made
even LESS opaque by rubbing it with OIL.
