This one would take some serious geometrical wrangling to get the
whole thing right, but I think you could potentially use the spools I
mentioned before at the top of the bottom section of your crankup and
let the next-to-lowest section pull the line on the smaller spool
*down* as the tower went down... then you put a bungeed pulley out at
the end point and run the dipole support rope through it and back to
the big spool on the lowest tower section.

The trick is getting the ratio of the spools just right so that the
overall length change in the doubled dipole support rope as the tower
weight wraps it up is small enough tha the bungee can take it up.

Way too complicated to be practical, but man, it'd be cool to watch it work.
