I was struck by the model for 2.45 Ghz: 1/4 wavelength is just over an inch. Is
there really an application for shortening something already that small?
Also, scaling his 480 Mhz model suggests a 160 m antenna would be almost 44
feet tall, with 88 feet diameter top discs. 50mm x (480/1.8) = 13,333.33 mm, or
43'8". Even out of wire, that would be no small feat. Might be worthwhile to
try if modelling suggests similar behaviour based on one, two or three tophat
wires, though.
