One problem with the L network (single ended or balanced) is that working Q is
a function of impedance transformation ratio.
Q = Ã([Rp/ Rs] â 1)
Every time you double the working Q, you increase the losses by 4. The currents
and voltages can get high enough to be embarassing, too.
The T match enables Q to be controlled, but in this particular application,
what's wrong with a parallel (or series if it's low impedance) tuned circuit
and link coupling? A lot less complex.
