Does any one know of a automatic remote A/B antenna switch that one can TX on
one antenna and listen to on the other? I need one for a special application
since my RX Ant jack on my 756Pro is perpetually fried- I thought I would
just hook up my TX and Bevg antennas on a remote A/B switch, solely use Ant
1, and save the $$$ to Icom- Unfortunately, both my 756 and 756Pro have
suffered from front end over load in the rx antenna jack circuit when using
beverages and 160M. Nothing ie, RF limitors, in line, has prevented the
overloading from blowing the rx jack's lightning surge protector and/or
diodes past this- Right now, I just have the beverages hooked up to Ant 2 but
I have to manually push the antenna select button to go between Ant 1(my tx
antennas) and Ant 2 (my beverages)......I feel like I'm back in the 1980's
on this-
