One of the locals wanted to raise his VHF antennas so he hired a CB
installer to put up 100 ft of Rohn 25.

Apparently the installer never heard of the trolley method and did not
know how to weave the Yagi's through the guy wires, so he asked the
owner to UNDO all of the guys on one side of the tower to raise the
antennas as he had done successfully so many times with short CB
towers.

Imagine his surprise when a gust of wind came up! I don't know if the
tower folded at the base or if the base failed in the ground, but the
installer rode it down like a falling tree. He will never get another
chance to repeat that fatal mistake.

The tower was laid out straight.
