While you are at the bike store buying a helmet, get yourself some cold WX
biking gloves. They make them thin so that you can shift the shifters and
warm so that you dont freeze your fingers off. They also happen to made of
some kind of material that makes it easier to grip the tower.
I do most of my antenna work in the winter. These things really come in handy.
