I'm  not  convinced.

I have 7 towers, ranging in height from 40 ft to 130 ft.

I have seen lightning strike the power transformer in front of my
next door neighbors house, leaving my towers untouched.

Crank-up towers scare the Hell out of me.  IMHO, 
there is nothing stronger, safer, or cost effective 
than a properly guyed tower.
