CAUTION

Aluminum Oxide also forms the Emerald (nickel impurities) and Ruby (chrome
impurities) precious stones.  As you might surmise, these are very hard.
Your skin isn't and HF not only causes burns but the pain associated with
the burn is worse than burns from a fire.  I worked with HF for years and
developed a VERY healthy respect for it.  Fortunately I was never burned but
some of my co-workers were not so lucky!
