If is still stuck, is there any noticeable "bow" in the tower? I had
experience with a 40 foot tubular tower in So. Calif. which was mounted
~60 feet above ground on a platform above the roof of a building and
saw some very high winds (worse at that height than at ground level)
and eventually acquired a permanent bow and wouldn't crank down. We
threw a rope around the TH6DXX boom where it attached to the mast and
after a lot of tugging got it most of the way down. Of course it never
cranked back up again after that.
