In pondering the loss of this fine gentlemen at such a
young age, a few thoughts kept running through my
mind. I never met Bill in person but did have some
Email exchanges. I remember the first - he "pinged" me
about something that I had posted to one of the
reflectors (don't remember which one). My reply was
"Hold on just a second, how come....." You get the
idea. We had several back and forth discussions and
ended up discussing contest station building. I think
it was WC1M who described a similar experence. I never
knew Bill well enough to be friends but our exchanges
were always friendly. I visited his website ofter to
see what he was up to and I always managed to learn
something that I could apply to my own station. I keep
thinking of something I heard recently that says
"don't die with your music still in you". Well, IMHO,
Bill sang loud and clear. I will miss him...
