This method works very well. However, instead of bobby
pins, I make a large U-shaped "staple" out of steel
wire. I cut the wire into 6 inch lenghts and then bend
them in half. I make a box of them up at a time. Then
lay the radial on a newly cut lawn and use the
"staples" to hold them in place. The grass will cover
them in short order. I've run the mower over newly
installed radials and haven't chopped one up yet.
