Hi Tony,

I have the older CC 402-CD which has the reflector
grounded to the boom.  I love it. It performs
great and there is no interaction with a 4 element 20
mounted 10 feet below it.  Based on this I would suggest
grounding the reflector to the boom!  If I ever have to replace
my 402-CD I would get the XM240 and ground the reflector.
