Ivan--
This is interesting, I guess, but I cannot tell which part came from Roger and which came from you.
Can you make some mark to show which part came from which author?

I mentioned this one is flaky and I suspected the OS, so I took
advantage of the free upgrade to Win 10. A fast, easy, and trouble free
upgrade. Unfortunately after 10 days, I can truly say with conviction!
"I do not like Win 10" and particularly using "one drive" in the cloud
for searches on my machines (and servers), so it's back to square one
and a complete install of Win 7 U and all other applications.

I am writing this to share my experience (though off-topic of towers).
Over the years with computer crashes I have spent much time reinstalling OS
and programs, though data were backed up to an external drive. Finally, I
will no longer have to do this. A tech from DELL told me about the backup
software, ACRONIS.

I bought their program (which you can try and buy if you like it) ACRONIS
BACKUP 11.5. Not only does it backup everything, but it has you make
"BOOTABLE MEDIA". If you have a big crash the bootable media will boot
(even though your OS might be corrupted) and will find the OS, programs,
data etc., and rebuild your system for you. Of course, you should store the
backup externally. I bought a 5 TB drive for $129.00 and use it for
backups. If your comkputer is phsyically dead (like lightjihngn strike or
nwhatever) you can takenwhat nthey ncall a "bare metal computer" (i.e.
another blank one) and boot witgh bootable mjedia and nput neveryhting
(WINDOWS and programs and data) on it. I liked the programk mso much that I
bought another license for mjy laptop. Tech support is fabulous. And after
proper setup it does it automatically according to programmed instructions.
No longer will I have to spend days reconstructing my computer. Good luck
to all
