Part if my message got cut off--here is the rest of it.

The sections of Rohn 45  would normally stack to 10ft 0-1/8 inch, but the
holes for the bolts have clearances (for galvanizing, etc)  and the weight
of the 
tower sections and forces of the guy wires tend to "condense" the sections 
to pretty close to 10 ft even.

So stacking Rohn 45 results in towers that are exact multiples of 10 ft
(well, +/- tolerances but that is typically pretty small).
