Jeff, I see your from PA. I dont know how far you are from Baltimore,
but there are all kinds of steel suppliers there. What you want is,
2" x .250 wall tubing. You can also get it in .375 wall. If Baltimore 
is to far for you to drive, you can look in your phone book under 
steel fabricators and let them order it for you. They should have it 
for you in a couple of days. Make sure its tubing, not pipe. I don't 
have any experience with aluminum masts but, I know it can get stress
cracks from repeated movement. So, I would think the wind rocking it 
around could cause this. There should be others on here that can tell 
you more about aluminum then I can. Hope this helps.
