I'll cast my vote with Steve here. One dB is the smallest change
detectable by the human ear. The 3 dB figure is expression for a
doubling of power. And the 6 dB thing was an S-unit...until Tom decided
that it was 5 dB. Or was that Art Collins? 8*)
