One thing we Mainiacs have used with great success
is a "tiller" attached to the boom. It's basically

just a piece of tubing about 5 ft long attached to
the boom with a boom-to-mast clamp. The lowering
line is then attached to the opposite end of the
tiller rather than to the antenna boom. It acts
much
like torque arms in that it tends to keep the
antenna from twisting. By varying the angle at
which it
clamps to the boom, you can vary the angle of the
elements when raising or lowering the antenna.
