Hi, In the past when I used ladder line I used a Radio Works Remote
Balun.     http://www.RadioWorks.com/index.html

The RemoteBalun is an interface between
  balanced feeders and coaxial cable. A short
 length of very low loss coaxial cable connects
     your transmatch to RemoteBalun. The
 complication of routing balanced feeders into
      the radio room is totally eliminated.

One Note: The coax from the Remote Balun must be kept short. Use RG 9913
or high quality type coax.
