Alan, Investigate the Universal Aluminum towers. I believe you will find they have a very heavy duty tower in the height and windload you mention. Over a long period, the maintainence will be minimal, and they are very easy to climb. [have 4 of them here, though only two up right now] Don N8DE Alan Beagley wrote: Looking to put up a 40' to 50' unguyed tower in an area where one has to allow for 80mph winds (Ottowa county, W. SteppIR) with a 2m/440 vertical above it -- but I'd like to keep my options open. _______________________________________________ See: http://www.mscomputer.com for "Self Supporting Towers", "Wireless Weather Stations", and lot's more.
