...add 16ft of wire on each of the your 3 ele stepper and you're on 40m.
Folding the element does little to reduce the performance. It looks
hokie, but it's simple, light weight, more efficient than lumped
inductance. The wires have to clear whats underneath but it's a
full-size beam and it works. We tried it on field day using an old 3
ele Hy-gain 203BA with the elements spaced out for 40m. Worked >1,000
stations on phone.
