I think you will find that many rotor plates just rest on cross pieces and
webs. The TriEx LM-470 series of which I have had 3, all use this method. I
have a spare rotor plate for the LM-470 if anyone is interested.

Hope to be picking up my new HG-70HD tower next weekend.
Looking thru the manual I picked up yesterday it looks
like the rotor plate is not fastened to the tower at all,
but just rests on these stops that are welded to the
inside of the top section. Is that correct? I don't
recall ever using or seeing a rotor plate that was not
somehow attached.
