Just spoke with the electrician at our new steel home.
They have to run power 60 feet from the breaker panel
(common entry) to the well, about 70 feet to the pool,
and if they go all the way around the house from the
common entry to the septic pump 150 feet! (see ascii
drawing below)
I see circulating currents and "antennas" to pick up
ground surges from lightning everywhere!
My suggestion was to leave the Well run as shown but
to run the feeds for the Septic and Pool through the
house and exit as close to each as possible -- adding
a ground rod and lightning protector at the exit point.
Am I thinking rightly?
