Way back in the early 60's, I installed a 40 m ground planeon top of a 25 foot roof which worked quite well fromKH6DGL. I had just one competitor on 40 m, KH6DJL, who usedan old Coast Guard array. It was nip and tuck all the way, except that he couldn't workinto Africa as well as I.
