Alfredo,
Your local lumber yard or big box store usually carries solid core doors.
These are flat doors that have a solid wood core between the outer veneers.
They come in a variety of sizes and can be cut without worry if needed.
I like to finish them with polyurethane which will help keep them clean,
but that's not necessary.
Mount them on a set of table legs which you can buy, or build a support
of 2x4 if you have the capability.
Also, I feel that you need more than 24" in depth for the top. A
standard office desk is usually 30" deep by 60" wide.
I think a depth of at least 26" is needed for enough room for your
equipment and your arms. More is better up to about 30", then I think it
gets too deep.
