I used 32 or 33 one shot cadwelds and it was still cheaper than
purchasing the mold and equipment. I think the "break even" point is
some where between 50 and 100, but prices have changed so I'm not sure
where it'd be today.
Jim mentioned the igniter charge in his was mixed in with the regular
charge during shipment. The igniter charge is packed into the cap and
is of a much finer consistency than the actual charge. I get mixed in
shipment it must have endured some VERY rough handling as you usually
have to "tap" the cap on the top of the container to put the igniter
into the V shaped cone that leads the starting fire into the main
charge. There are ways to ignite a charge without the igniter, but they
take experience working with the stuff so I'll not go into that here.
