AMEN!
My 55' tilt, crank is still on a pallet in the backyard after 4 yrs and
really needs to get recabled but mostly, it needs an electric winch which
will pull it up but will also clutch it down kinda like letting that 2 ton
boat off the trailer, lil bit by lil bit...
Not sure what that is called in winch nomenclature. Northern Tool, etal
have some pretty good winch prices but I have no idea how much weight, etc
the winch needs to be able to raise as well as to let down.
Also, I would want this to operate off a 12V power supply although 110/220V
is available within 10 feet of the tower base.
Finally, I would like to have a second? winch mounted on the upper portion of
the base section to use to tilt the tower over onto an A-frame. I have a 50'
Sweet Gum that is located ideally as an anchor for the tilting winch.
So, please keep this line of discussion running. I always learn a lot from
this list.
