Sorry, I did not read your question properly when I responded yes. I
thought that you were adding an inverted V reflector. Why would you mix a
horizontal antenna with a vertical and have all of the work putting in
ground radials that you said you wish to avoid?

Trying to put up something with a little gain on 40 now that summer is

Will it work to put up an inverted V with a vertical reflector behind it?
Would rather not put up 2 verticals becuse of the radials needed.
