Have had some trouble with intermittent traps and water in the traps.
Look at E-HAM reviews, others have too.
The water in the traps appears to come from the "downhill" trap covers
not keeping water out around the element tubing. Disassembled one trap
and significant water poured out. The symptom was high SWR on several
bands.
Put Petroleum Jelly around those interfaces and hope for no more water
intrusion.
Note: Once you disassemble a trap, you'll never get the internal plastic
spaces back to "factory". Changes in their position affects resonance.
So expect to do some retuning.

PROS: It works great! Easy to build and install.
CONS: They sag and should have been made a little more stout. But you
could say this about most Cushcraft antennas.
TIPS: If you are mounting this close to a 20-meter beam, put it INLINE
with the boom. Cover the center fiberglass insulator with black tape. I
do this with all Cushcraft antennas I build for customers. It keeps the
sun off the insulator and will stop it from splintering. The person who
takes it down will thank you!

Wondering if anyone has installed the D3W WARC rotary dipole. I've read
the reviews on Eham but am wondering what the collective wisdom is about
this antenna from the TOWERTALK gang.
Any info appreciated...
