Mounting a mast through the roof is doable. Many years ago I knew a guy, Hank
W2LTP (sk), Cranford, NJ, who had a mast through his roof with 3 large mono
bsnders (KLM Big Sticks) that were turned by a prop pitch in his attic. He may
also used a steering wheel. Whenever he turned the antennas, the whole house
shook. It worked well for him. Somehow he weatherproofed the opening in the
roof.
