If you want high performance, replace the coaxial stub
with a coil and sufficiently rated capacitor. It will
have much higher Q. A coaxial stub makes a low quality
rugged filter.

Hi All
What determines the quality of a coax bandpass stub? I found about half
a spool of RG-6 at the local Goodwill store here and it seems like it is
pretty good coax.
It has a triple shield - foil on the dielectric, shield, and another
foil shield on the outside, over the braid. Would this make good stub
material? Thanks and 73
