I think you missed their point. Even if you put up 30 ft, getting permission 
NOW for more is prudent. Not only does it provide for later changes, you can 
always tell your neighbor that you stopped shorter than you could have.
Bill--W4BSG, whose nearest neighbor is his Brother-in-law, who is over a 1/4 
mile away, and out of sight.

##  a tower at 30' is pretty cool.  With a yagi on top of it,  it will look like
an airplane, about a split second b4 crash landing.  neighbours just can't 
fathom
that concept.  The higher it is, the smaller the yagi will appear. If they are 
up
50-70'... neighbours  will have to go outside, and strain their neck to see it. 
At 30',  they will see it through their living room windows,.. it's at the 
right 
height and angle.
