Subject: Re: [TowerTalk] Advice Wanted-Tuning A 10 Meter Telrex Beam
The half wave multiple is certainly needed for taking R +j measurements.
For simple vswr measurements the vswr is not changed by the line length as
long as line losses are low.
This is assuming 50 ohm test equipment and a 50 ohm line of course.

## You could use ANY length of coax..then tweak the yagi for 1:1 swr at the
freq of interest.
You cant tweak the yagi with it 3 ft above ground on saw horses anyway..waste
of time.
It will shift a huge amount higher in freq when on top of the tower. Even if
you point it
straight up, you want the REF above the ground by several feet.
## Ron, VE7XR had me re-tweak his telrex 3 el 20m yagi..which was on a 26 ft
boom. I used
YO-7.0 at the time. All you can do with a telrex is tweak the tip lengths.
Even then, it worked a helluva
lot better than oem. Im sure you could do the same with the telrex 10m yagi.
