Since I can't seem to speak to anyone at Force 12 maybe someone on the reflector can help. Is it possible to use a C19XR as a mono-band beam for either 10, 15, or 20 by not putting the elements on for the bands not wanted? Supposedly it's a true 3 band beam with elements inter-laced so it seems that might be possible. I need a second antenna for the contest (CW) but only plan to operate single band. Hello Tony, speaking from my experience with interlacing monobanders on one boom I would guess that your plan could work on 20m, most probably also on 15m but it might become critical on 10m. From my experience the lower bands are less affected by the higher bands, but the higher bands are more affected by the lower ones. Therefore I would guess that the C19XR 10m elements would need some readjustment when put up as a 10m monobander. So if you are into 20m single band I would give it a try. Hope that helps 73 Con DF4SA _______________________________________________ See: http://www.mscomputer.com for "Self Supporting Towers", "Wireless Weather Stations", and lot's more.
