The easiest way to increase the voltage to your DC powered rotator is to merely
install an outboard DC power supply in series with the negative lead from your
Orion controller.  I used a cheap switcher (Samplex) that was gathering dust on
the shelf.  The extra 13 volts made the difference between not turning through 
500
feet of number 10 to the prop pitch to turning at normal velocity with the speed
control set at "5" on the M2 controller. 
 
To reiterate, connect the positive lead from the external supply to the negative
(common) lead at the M2 box; connect the negative (common) lead from the
prop pitch motor to the negative terminal of the external power supply.
