AFAIK, nobody likes the RC2800PX control box, not even it's mother and father.

I'm trying to troubleshoot the RC2800PX control box used to control the
OR-2800 rotator. This is the rotator with an AC motor.

After switching on the control box and momentarily pressing and releasing
one of the rotate buttons (CCW or CW), the rotator continues rotating until
the main power switch is turned off. Afterwards, turning the power switch
back on does not result in any rotation until one of the rotate buttons is
pressed, and then the previously described situation occurs once again.

The instruction manual has only a very minimal "schematic" which isn't
really a schematic at all. And there is no parts list in the manual. M2
says that they don't have any additional documentation. Whenever they have
a problem with a board inside the control box, in most cases, they replace
the entire board with a new one. They did say that most often (in 95% of the
cases like this) the problem is due to the Triac - Q31 - part number
BTB08700TW which is what is used in the DC control box, but likely the same
for the AC control box.

Any assistance in accomplishing this repair would be greatly appreciated.
Obtaining a schematic and a parts list would be awesome. Also helpful would
be knowing that possibly someone has replaced the BTB08700TW triac (or
whatever is being used in the AC control box) with a more robust drop-in
replacement.
