Yes, but there are differences from the air core choke to be appreciated...
Ferrite chokes for common mode currents are not as efficient as air core
chokes... Ferrites work by converting the circulating current in the core into
heat... Ferrite beads are known to overheat and burn up... There have been a
number of postings on here attesting to those failures... Power wasted by
producing heat is just that - wasted....
