I remember Hank. He was a real character. When I first got licensed in
1979, Hank was often the lead net control for the "Triple H" worked all
states net on 40M SSB. There was a group of young hooligans on the east
coast who would jam the net from time-to-time just to get a rise out of
Hank. Hank had a very distinctive gravely voice with a Jersey accent and
a booming signal. It was something else when those guys got Hank wound
up into one of his "get out of here you cock-a-roaches" rants. I think
those guys eventually got sideways with the FCC and had their licenses
suspended (they would often play music and even run Triple-H parody
nets). I probably still have some QSL cards from stations I worked on
Hank's net. RIP

Mounting a mast through the roof is doable. Many years ago I knew a guy, Hank
W2LTP (sk), Cranford, NJ, who had a mast through his roof with 3 large mono
bsnders (KLM Big Sticks) that were turned by a prop pitch in his attic. He may
also used a steering wheel. Whenever he turned the antennas, the whole house
shook. It worked well for him. Somehow he weatherproofed the opening in the
roof.

You will need a rubber boot where the mast enters the roof to keep water out.
Rohn does have a couple of short top sections:?https://www.3starinc
