Personnel do not look above there normal vision range if they are driving a
truck; That said you install a cheep fence with a big sign about the hazard.
Sit in your truck and look at the hazard from where they will be coming
from. The bigger and more colorful the sign the better. 73 Gene K2QWD

Subject: [TowerTalk] Making guy lines visible

I have a guyed tower, and we're going to have a good number of construction
vehicles on site for a new house build. One of the guy wires is very near a
natural parking area for contractors, and some of them may not get the word
about driving into guy lines.

I'd like to make the guy very visible.

I've seen some "balls" on guy wires designed to make them visible to
aircraft. I'd like something of a bright color that I can fasten to the
bottom 10 feet or so of the guy wires.

Any suggestions?

It should survive about a year. I don't think tying a red rag to the guy is
going to suffice.
